A   POEM   TO   GEORGE

If you kill
if you wish ill
on another
do it not in my name
nor in that of my mother

arrogance
not acceptance
yet you told us
that we should hold our tongues
-- (then you tried to sell us)

innocents
not accidents
you maim them
you aim your guns and fire
and then of course blame them

why be cruel
why bend your rule
--hypocrisy!--
why should they adopt
your kind of democracy?

America,
no longer great,
but bully.
You made us
what we don't wish to be:
perceived as just malicious.
