MANGLED REMAINS OF TODAY
The mangled remains of today
Remind me ingloriously
Of my errors
Like so much crumpled paper
Tossed into the fire
Burned to less than ashes
Hours wasted
Time lost
The circle broken
And me with it
But still
Tomorrow looms
It will arrive
And so shall I.
