POEMS   OF   THE   MONTH

this month's haiku:

float away, mayhap
if this rain does not stop soon
I could use a boat
=================

BECOMING

White against black
her gaze, lifeless,
rains down hard upon us
like hot lead dripping into icy shards
and you wonder
how eyes can look so dead
when life gives them
something
yet...
and I wonder
why we looked for this
we who could see the cold
for what it was
and was not
we who knew better
than to seek nightmares
we who have come
and become
She.

Dare you meet my gaze now?
